Less than a week until NYC!

Personally, I cannot wait to leave Houston. Even if it's only for a few days. I'm starting to get really antsy in this city. I think ever since I graduated, it hit me that I may not find what I'm looking for in Houston or even Texas. I've always predicted when I was younger that right after college I would immediately be working in an office of some kind, but times have changed and now I feel stuck. Almost in some kind of limbo. There are so many things I want to do. I feel like my talents are constrained here in Houston and art+fashion are under appreciated. I hope one day I get to go off and live my dreams. First, I need to develop plans and put full force into reaching my goals.

Thank goodness for this mini vacation. Hopefully, I can not only enjoy the big city, but also be able to visually see if I belong there or not!

And I leave you with a work outfit...

Eww sorry for the face LOL. I am wearing a Marni tiered ruffle skirt, Rick Owens ribbed tank, Alessandro Dell'Acqua black asymmetrical 3/4 sleeve cape, Celine safari multi buckle belt, Hermes Rivale orange wrap bracelet, and my trusty ol' Ann Demeulemeester lace up boots.

I am wearing a Celine colorblock leather trim linen dress, Celine chain envelope side mini bag, Balenciaga eel trim turquoise suede gladiator wedges, and an Hermes Rivale orange stud wrap bracelet. My sister Grace is wearing an Alexander McQueen pink/purple butterfly print dress, Mara Hoffman skeleton back blazer, and basic patent black pumps.

Philip and I <3. Philip is wearing Burberry navy pants, Banana Republic brown loafers, J Lindenberg mist color button up, Chloe belt, and Tom Ford aviators.

Last nice we were invited by my little sister to attend a Yellow Magazine evening event at the Mosaic. The view of Houston from the pool level was quite amazing. I never knew our city could look so nice. Afterwards, we decided to do a late night dinner at Cafe Brazil. Margherita pizza, Chicken Verde pizza, Greek Salad, Quiche, and a chocolate tart to finish. So good. Off to work! Sorry for such a short post!

Another Accident

I feel like I am a magnet for reckless drivers. I always use my blinker, mirrors...heck I even bought little signs from Urban Outfitters to remind other drivers of their absurd driving behavior. This happened last week on my way to work where I actually left half an hour earlier than I usually do. Two women who decided to switch lanes without looking or using their blinker side swiped me. It was quite odd because when we pulled over to exchange information, the driver refused to step out of the car and talk to me. Her passenger basically did all of the work. I tried to get a cop to the scene, but apparently since I wasn't "injured" enough they couldn't send anyone to witness the accident. Such a shame because a couple days later I find out neither of them had insurance. In fact, they took someone else's car for a joy ride (the owner of that car had expired insurance) and attempted to lie about their address, insurance, and the situation. HOW RUDE. Thank goodness for uninsured motorist insurance. But still, my poor car is scraped to the nines and all of this is such a hassle.

I am literally counting down the days until our vacation trip to New York. SO MUCH TO DO so little time in the City :) If anyone has any suggestions as to where to shop and eat I would love opinions!

TTYS.

Love,
Amee

New haircut, new look, new blog.

Hello fellow readers!

I figured it was time for me to move on from She Plays Dress Up to a new blog. Don't ask me why, I just felt it was time to change to a new home :) I cannot wait to share my new experiences, styling tips, and inspirations. I will also be co-writing a blog with my good friend Antonio (IF ONLY blog will be in production very soon). We will be sharing our daily opinions as well as our fun adventures and travels.

My first look for my new blog includes me about to embark on a shopping trip with my boyfriend for furniture. I am wearing an Ann Demeulemeester net print tunic, Nha Khanh sheer front ruffle skirt (LOVE THIS LINE! Nini and Nha Khanh creates such beautiful pieces!), and Balenciaga tube sock heels.

Until next time!

My regards,
Amee
